I'm sticking with myflashstore and happy to. It amazes me how people just "follow" If 2 popular people told you to jump off a bridge would you actually do it? Ha, got to have your own mind. Myflashstore is universal worldwide - and beatstars know this. So taking 2 producers with a big fanbase who sell tons of beats is what beatstars are hoping makes their platform seem more universal to others. That might not even work. It also shows there marketing game and promoting game isn't amazing because they've probably done this deal to try and get their site poppin.
Myflashstore is ultra clean, the site, the dashboard (super clean) looks professional and easy to use. The players are nice, uploading, tweaking, everything clicks. My years of loyalty will remain. Customers know my platform and they're happy so I'm also happy. If my service is working why would I just switch? If the next time my customers saw a beatstars beat store without me first informing them they might not like that/they might be confused etc - small details are everything in business. I agree that some "paid advertising" on the marketplace or homepage would be a fantastic addition and would continue to grow MFS. For example, on the marketplace section you could have a banner ad at the top of the page rotating - that sort of promo would be great for people who hardly ever feature on the martketplace. Also, on the hompage you could introduce a "genre sponsored chart" for example:
"Popular Hip Hop Beats Today"
"Popular Trap Beats Today"
"Popular R&B Beats Today"
Then there could be 10 beats for each genre chart that get 24 hour promo. Something like that. I think producers would warm to paid advertising on the homepage or marketplace section.
