Should trackouts be mastered?

Should your stems be mastered with the same FX chain used when mastering your beat? My beat sounds noticeably different after mastering, so a client might complain if the tracked out beat doesn’t sound the same as the mastered beat.

I had the same question…What I’ve read in the past though is that all effects, etc. should be stripped from the stems when submitting because the client might want to have the track professionally mastered. What I have decided to do is leave on some effects on the individual instruments but export my tracks with nothing on the master chain…Someone please let me know if this is the wrong way lol.
